Blue Water Navy Veterans Granted Agent Orange presumption
Did you serve on a U.S. Navy or Coast Guard vessel near the Republic of Vietnam between Jan. 9, 1962 and May 7, 1975? Many Blue Water Navy Veterans are now entitled to a presumption of service connection for Agent Orange exposure. On June 6, 1944, 75 years ago, Allied troops landed on the shores of Normandy to fight Nazi Germany. We honor the lives of those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom, and we honor the sacrifices made by Veterans who lived to tell their stories.
Appeals office unveils new way to opt into modern appeals process
“Tired of waiting” is a phrase we often hear associated with the old, legacy appeals process. But since the implementation of the Appeals Modernization Act, Veterans who disagree with VA’s decisions on their compensation claims have a quicker way to receive a second look--and there’s now two new ways to move an appeal out of the old process and into the new process.
